Thanks to all the members for their attendance at the AGM held at the club house on 23rd June and the open and frank discussions held and contributions from all of the attendees. To those members that were unable to attend but sent in their proxy votes we can confirm that your specific vote options were carried out with due respect to your wishes.
The minutes of the meeting will be prepared, approved and released onto the website within the next week including the actual vote results, but some of the key votes were.
The members accepted the 2019 accounts and 2020 budget as presented, the Committees decision to buyout Lagarejo was accepted by the members.
The members agreed to increase the Full year membership fee from 275 to 300.
All eight proposed changes to the IOURs were accepted.
Members agreed to change the club shirt design and in the closest vote of the day to change the club crest from the current design to the Mijas flag crest by 16 votes to 12.
The design chosen by the members was the Green/Blue Mijas Flag submitted by the President Clive Nuttall with 17 of the 28 votes available.
In AOB a proposal was made to move away from the wearing of whites on Tuesday and Thursday roll ups and allow Sunday dress code for all roll up days. The decision was to retain the wearing of whites on Tuesday and Thursdays, after the COVID 19 restrictions have been lifted.
All of the Committee nominations received were accepted with no objections.
We had 21 voting members, 2 non-voting members in attendance and 8 proxy votes were received by the members in attendance.
