As of the 14th March a directive has been received via the FAB Malaga with an attachment from the Authorities which requires MIjas LBC to close and not operate for a minimum period of 15 days from 17.00hr. Where possible we have sent an email to the members advising them of this action along with a copy of the directive. The directive will also be placed on the home page of the website.
This will mean that all touring teams scheduled for the period will be advised of the closure.
Travel on public roads on the Costa del Sol will be restricted to essential travel for supermarket shopping, doctors etc.
FAB Malaga have already advised Almeria to postpone the match and the FAB will cancel the bus and try to cancel the hotel etc and if possible get the money reimbursed.
The FAB will continue to monitor and advise clubs of any changes in the instructions being passed down to them. The FAB will post the documents and a summary onto the FAB website under news, should members want to see the actual documents.
The COVID 19 will be an Agenda Item in AOB, when we are able to set a new date for the AGM originally set for the 18th March.
We hope that all of our members are able to stay stay safe and well during the lockdown and if they are due to travel home that they are able to do so.
We have also been advised that the Hospitals are on lock down and our thoughts are with Joan Corbett in Costa Del Sol Hospital at this time. The FAB Championships due for the end of the month has not been cancelled at this stage but given the issues in accessing our own members to enter their names it maybe affected.
I will continue to update this blog as we receive any updates. Regards and please take care of yourselves and those around you. John
