General update for members

Updated: 4 days ago

As you are no doubt aware the Treasurer has been collecting the membership and locker fees for the 20/21 season and we thank all those members that have paid so far.

We will be changing the various access codes to the gates and the members page shortly after the 8th October and will issue all those who have paid their fees with the new codes as required to access and allow you to play out with normal roll up times.

The Treasurer has completed the entries for the various in-house competitions and has taken photographs of each members bowls. A file has been uploaded to the members page so that we have a record to cover you and the club in the event of an insurance claim or their subsequent loss.

We will continue to allow Sunday dress code for the start of October and will advise when this changes back to requirement for wearing whites at Tuesday and Thursday roll ups.

The normal winter roll up times are now - (effective 1st October)

Tuesdays and Thursdays. 13.30 for 14.00 start

Sunday 10.00 for 10.30 start.

As we are currently operating the bar with our Volunteer Bar Steward (Jean) we will not need to start a Stewards Rota to cover the bar. However, the Secretary will be developing a Bowls Steward rota to cover opening up and closing the bowling green and its surrounding areas.

The Bowls Steward rota will officially commence in November and this will allow the Bowls Steward to participate fully in the roll ups.

New Procedures for a split Bar and Bowls Steward duties have already been posted onto the members page.

The Committee has agreed to cover October roll ups as follows and you must register with them to be on the rink allocation list-

Ian Patterson and travel companions will cover Tuesdays

Kevin Bravant will cover Thursdays

John and Sheila Wilson will cover Sundays.
