ROWdies win International match

Mijas LBC held an International Challenge match on Friday 11th April followed by a bring a plate buffet lunch.

10 players represented each of- Rest of the World ROWdies (Blue Tops), Scandinavian Vikings (Yellow Tops) & England (White tops)

The Captains split their squads into 2 x triples (ie odds ROWdies 1 and ROWdies 3) & 2 Pairs (ie evens ROWdies 2 & ROWdies 4) for 2 x 8 end games. 

2 points were awarded/game win and 3 points for best overall aggregate shot difference.  

ROWdies squad- John W, Alan R, Lynda, Juan, Manolo, Joan, Ian G, Gus, Alan C, Sheila, 

Viking squad- Tommy, Bente, Sallyann, Sten, Maggan, Claes, Hans, Kaija, Per Arne, Lisbeth

England squad- Bill, Ian P, Mat, Barry, Angela, Simone, Pat, Kevin, Simon, Mandy

The ROWdies managed to win the Competition losing only one of their 8 games and finishing with the only positive shot difference winning the 1st Summer Triangle Trophy.

Bill and Simon also managed to win both their games for the England team.

After a successful event and wonderful lunch this event will be played multiple times as part of our development of our members.

Well done to everyone involved and we will try to involve more of our members in future events.
