League update 10th March

Mijas Swifts Pairs were already assured of winning their League before Fridays final League fixture away at Lauro. The team completed another 8-0 win against a strong experienced Lauro team. The team lost only one rink during the season.

Mijas will be presented with the Pairs League Trophy on Sunday during the Malaga FAB Singles Competition being played at Mijas commencing on Sunday 12th March and we will hold a photo shoot with those involved in the Pairs League this winter.

Mijas Eagles lost 1-9 at home to Miraflores after being very competitive on every rink thru the half way stage and with only one game remaining the challenge to get off the bottom of the table, but this will need a convincing win against Santa Maria who had another good win at Lauro and they only need 2 points to be assured of the Championship. We also rely on the results from the remaining fixtures involving Lauro and Saydo.

However, we expect Mijas to put up a stiff challenge as we play for pride and the Pil Pil Trophy on the 17th March with an 11.00 start against the Triples Champions elect.
