Marker Training-delayed until Sept

Updated: Aug 20

The Mijas LBC qualified Umpires are willing to conduct markers training during the Summer season. This will be open to all of our members and provide useful information on the rules of the game.

We expect 3 sessions of 4 hours will be required to prepare members to the necessary standard to allow them to comfortably mark in house matches or complete the Markers exam. The training will include instruction on the rules, practical measuring and marking a short game.

For those who wish the formal certification we can organise an examination from an external Umpire. The formal exam last 3-4 hours & will consist of written test, multiple choice, marking a short game and then a practical measuring test on the green. Completion of the exam provides those wishing to progress to Umpire level the necessary first step.

We can run the sessions for groups of 4 to 6 people with 10.30 start subject to availability of members and Umpires.

Please add your name to the sheet posted in the club house notice board if you want to be included in the course.
