The Federation meeting was held earlier this month and the minutes of that meeting have been uploaded to the website.
The FAB have decided to run the Calendar from January to December in line with the budget plan and there will not be a Federation Calendar for this year. The FAB Committee will discuss and finalise the 2022 Calendar this Autumn.
MLBC are to notify the Competition Secretary of our preferred dates for the Mijas Masters and Ball and Chain.
We also need to compile an availability plan for our non resident members through out the 2022 season. This will help with the development of the Leagues and best dates for the various FAB operated competition.
The FAB Competition Secretary has proposed running 3 short separate Leagues over the year and spread out the various competitions over the season, but shutdown for July and August and then a Festive break. The idea being that no matter what time the snowbird return they would be able to participate in a League and the residents could play competitively for the most of the year.
The Members clubs agreed to allow members from the same club that are drawn to play against each other in the first drawn round of a competition to play it at their home club in advance of that games due date as long as it was agreed in advance and the winners take the applicable fees to the host club. Both teams would have to agree and the Competition organiser must be notified and give their approval in advance.
Once the COVID 19 and Brexit restrictions settle down we will send out a request to our members for their expectations of their time in Spain during 2022.
