Four singles ties were completed between 12th and 24th January with a number of very close matches in the early stages and some very impressive bowling.
Mick Devine beat George Roullier 21-10.
George took an early lead in this match and it was very even till midway through the game. Mick finished the stronger and picked up some big scores to pull away and close out the game. But well done George for a gallant and spirited performance.
Bill Neal beat John Wilson 21-10 with Bill playing the more consistent and lead all the way through this tie and although close at the half way stage Bill did not give a lot of room for error.
Steve Ward beat Mick Devine 21-7 with the more consistent bowls for the majority of the match.
Juan Abeal beat Steve Ward 21-18 to reach the Final. This game ebbed and flowed all the way through the tie but Juan drew more consistently over the last few ends securing a three to close out the match.
Sheila Wilson beat David Prain 21-17 but Sheila had to stage a late fight back after being 7-16 down after 13 ends with David playing well through out the game.
Joan Corbett beat Juan Abeal 21-11 with the more consistent bowls and she managed to swing her bowls around and through the gaps to get the shot in the later part of most ends. Juan never managed to get his nose in front during the game.
Bill Neal beat Ian Gray 21-17. Ian got off to the good start 7 shot lead after 5 ends before Bill staged a strong fight back to establish a 13- 8 lead after 12 ends before Ian recovered to get the scores within 3 shots before Bill finally managed to close it out.
