Congratulations to Lauro for Winning the Winter Triples League having won 8-2 at Mijas in the final fixture when it was stopped after 14 ends.
La Posada 8-2 and secured 2nd place and Saydo finished in fourth
Miraflores and Benavista played their fixture early and avoided the rain, but finished 5th and 6th respectively.
It's been a very competitive League played in great spirit.
Unfortunately we only managed one good win from Gordon, Margaret and John R and we had a chance of getting an 8-2 win until the final few ends. A spirited fightback by Geoff, Kevin, Joan cut a 7 shots deficit at the 7th to 4 shots by the time we had to abandon. John W, Eoghain and Chris dropped 9 shots in the last 2 ends to lose by a shot.
Alan, Bill and Lynda dropped 13 shots in 4 ends after being all square in the 7th end.
In the Pairs League La Posada and Saydo have completed all fixtures and Saydo and La Posada are confirmed in 3rd and 4th spots respectively. Both week 11 and 12 results are recorded on the week 11 sheet.
Unfortunately the Lauro vs Mijas Week 11 fixture was stopped before any rink had completed the minimum number of ends required to constitute a result. The games will need to be completed- playing the remainder of the 18 ends as recorded on the original scorecards- Friday 14th March 11.00 start. Where possible we will try and field the same teams to complete the fixture.
The scores at the point of stoppage were encouraging with our teams of Ian P/Barry, Bente/Kaija and Tommy/Hans all being up in their games and Manolo/Angela were all square.

Mijas LBC will host Lauro at home in the week 12 fixture on Friday 7th March with an 11.00 start.
