Malaga FAB June M of M.

The Federation meeting was held on 18th June and a few significant issues were discussed and agreed.

Paul Hughes was elected as Malaga Team Manager for the next 12 months. Discussions will be held before the next Provincial match regarding selection and changes to the existing team compilation.

Posters will also be prepared over the next few weeks to encourage interest in playing for the FAB Malaga Team.

A draft 2027 Calendar has also been issued and the remainder of the 2026 Calendar has been updated. Copies of this have been added to our home page.

Mijas will play La Posada in the Challenge Cup preliminary round in October.

One major agreement was that the acceptance criteria for Bowls shoes. This alteration may affect some of our members. ( Now-Official Bowls shoes or 100% flat soled with no heel). Mijas will not alter our acceptance criteria for playing at Mijas in roll ups, in-house competitions or in our own Opens. However Mijas members should not travel to any venue (including Mijas) in their bowls shoes and should fit their bowls shoes once on the premises.
