Well done to everyone involved in playing, organising and helping with club and Umpire duties the Summer triples event held at Mijas from 5th September. The Summer Pairs event being held at La Posada sees 6 Mijas teams, with only J & S Wilson involved in the Prelims on Saturday 12th September. La Posada have advised that Roll with Bacon and Sausage will be available until 11.30 and after that a selection of sandwiches will be available for sale. The draw and playing schedule is below.

The Call Notice has been posted in the club house for the Ultimate Bowls to be held at Lauro Golf BC played over 19th and 20th September. Please add your team players to the sheet if you are interested in playing.

The Winter League schedule has been prepared for the 26/27 season with 6 clubs in the Tigers - Triple League and 4 clubs entered into the Lions- Pairs League. The Purple & Blue club shirts that contain the Eagles and Swallows per our League teams are in stock for those members that have already confirmed their chest sizes and we have ordered a few extra in most sizes. Delivery lead time for additional shirts are around 3 weeks. The majority of our members are proud to be a members of Mijas, but also of their nationality. Mijas had members from 10 nations in 2025/26 and expect that diversity to continue into 2026/27. A number of designs based on the new club shirt concept have been prepared and members can order at a cost of €15/shirt. Any profits over the actual cost price will be put into the club funds. The Federation meeting was held on 18th June and a few significant issues were discussed and agreed. Paul Hughes was elected as Malaga Team Manager for the next 12 months. Discussions will be held before the next Provincial match regarding selection and changes to the existing team compilation.
