The Winter League schedule has been prepared for the 26/27 season with 6 clubs in the Tigers - Triple League and 4 clubs entered into the Lions- Pairs League. The Purple & Blue club shirts that contain the Eagles and Swallows per our League teams are in stock for those members that have already confirmed their chest sizes and we have ordered a few extra in most sizes. Delivery lead time for additional shirts are around 3 weeks. The Call Notice has been posted for the FAB Malaga Open Pairs event to be held at La Posada from 12 to 15 September inclusive. The Call Notice has been posted at the club for the Malaga FAB Summer Open Triples to be held at Mijas LBC in Saturday 5, then Monday 7 thru Wednesday 9 September. Sunday 6th September will be available for a roll up session unless we are affected by adverse weather on the Saturday. Despite the higher temperatures the roll up sessions have been attended by 12 to 16 of our resident members and a few visitors. Game durations have normally been reduced to 16 ends with only a few going the full 18 ends. With the 9.30 start we have been finished by noon and miss the extreme temperatures in the afternoon. Our new shade supports added earlier in the year have worked well and we can now tolerate stronger wind conditions when all 6 rinks have their sails in place

The majority of our members are proud to be a members of Mijas, but also of their nationality. Mijas had members from 10 nations in 2025/26 and expect that diversity to continue into 2026/27. A number of designs based on the new club shirt concept have been prepared and members can order at a cost of €15/shirt. Any profits over the actual cost price will be put into the club funds. The Federation meeting was held on 18th June and a few significant issues were discussed and agreed. Paul Hughes was elected as Malaga Team Manager for the next 12 months. Discussions will be held before the next Provincial match regarding selection and changes to the existing team compilation.
