The minutes from the November Mijas Committee Meeting have been posted on the members page. We recommend that you take the time to review these minutes and if you have any concerns please put them in writing via the Complaints and Suggestion Box for the next meeting.
Ulf Bergstrom and Agnetha Safwenberg membership applications were officially accepted.
As a non profit making organisation we have to ensure that any excess funds are used for the benefit of the members including improvements to our facilities as well as making adequate provisions for the next carpet replacement.
Key points-
As agreed at the last AGM Mijas LBC the club has sufficient funds and will pay the 2026 Federation Licence fees (€22) for those that are a member at the time the payment is due. This License allows the members to play anywhere in Spain.
Mijas LBC will contribute towards the Xmas dinner dance being held at La Sierra on Friday the 12 December for all its current members that have confirmed their attendance.
Decision on changes to the club shirts and how that will be funded will be made by the members at the next AGM. Trials on a few more alternate designs will be sourced as well as a selection of the size range to allow us to order with confidence will be sourced.
Investigations are ongoing to repaint the external roadside wall, obtain quotes for repairs to the riverside embankment, upgrade the beach end shades and improve the external sitting areas for all year round use.
A Committee proposal to change the Membership fee structure has been prepared for the members to consider prior to a vote at the AGM.
In house Xmas party will be held in early December and include a fun bowls session and bring a plate further details to be provided.
Stewards Duty Rota will be prepared for December, January and February with the Committee allocating the duties following a lack of volunteers from our October/November trial where the members selected their own duty days.
