Pre festive inhouse Comp winners

Mijas LBC members completed their first 2 in-house competitions on the 3rd December with the Handicap Singles between Tommy Dahlgren and Hans Nordling.

Hans had a 3 hot handicap advantage at the start of the game but Tommy managed to overcome this in the first few ends and despite a strong performance in very windy conditions through out from Hans he lost 21-13. Thanks to Ian Patterson for marking the final.

The Drawn Triples final was closely contested with the first 8 ends sharing single shot ends, before John W, Barry and Gus managed to take the lead picking up 2 shots in the 9th and 10th ends. Barbara, Juan and Kaija then picked up a single and a four to take the lead.

Singe shots were traded over the next few ends before Johns team took a 3 then a single in the 15th and 16th end to take a 4 shot lead. Barbaras trio only managed to pull back a single in each of the last 2 ends to come up short.

The finalist and most of the 21 members and friends that provided their support enjoyed a sandwich lunch following the game. Thanks to Sheila for Umpiring and all the members that played, marked and covered the bar during the various rounds.
