President 4s update day 2

Both all Mijas teams were eliminated in the Qfs with Sheila, John, Kaija and Hans being well beaten by a strong performance from a Lauro quartet led by Phil Gutteridge to set up an all Lauro semi final clash.

Simone, Mary, Pat and John R were pipped in an exciting well contested game that went all the way to the tie break. The ownership of the shot exchanged a number of times in the 18th end with both teams having game lies and Simone managed to cut Saydo back to a single shot to force the tie break with her final bowl. Saydo skip Alan Gateshill managed to play the winning shot getting the rub of the green with his penultimate bowl having been 5 down in the head.

Bente and Tommy Dahlgren as part of a mixed team with Rob Godfrey (Lauro) and Terry Stone (Miraflores) combining well for a convincing win against a strong La Posada team.

Semi 11.00 start and final are to be played on Monday 25th May.
