Quiet Summer at Mijas LBC.

Despite the higher temperatures the roll up sessions have been attended by 12 to 16 of our resident members and a few visitors.

Game durations have normally been reduced to 16 ends with only a few going the full 18 ends. With the 9.30 start we have been finished by noon and miss the extreme temperatures in the afternoon. Our new shade supports added earlier in the year have worked well and we can now tolerate stronger wind conditions when all 6 rinks have their sails in place.

We have managed to complete a few low cost improvements to the steps from the covered walkway onto the green and replaced the scoreboard covers adding a bit of colour to the far end of the rink.

The tall shrubs at the rear of the club house have been cut down providing improved camera coverage of the car park area.
