Week 5 Mijas Pairs 5-5 at Lauro

Mijas shared the points with Lauro thanks to a solid win from Juan and Bill that secured the overall shot difference points with a 20-8 result.

Alan and Lynda Robertson came back from a 7 shot deficit at 14 ends and were leading by a shot going into the final end, but lost a two and ended up 17-18.

Barbara and Angela were 10 shots behind after 9 ends and fought back to all square on 14 all by the 16th end and then took one shot in the final end for a creditable draw.

John and Sheila were all square going into the last end and had 2 shots beside the jack prior to an excellent final bowl from Jeff Turner followed the jack into the ditch and beside three other Lauro bowls to take the game 13-17.

The 5-5 draw was a fair result and sufficient to move the Pairs team 3 points ahead of Saydo and with the Triples team 7 points ahead of Lauro we sit top in both Leagues at the festive break.
